The Capricorn born Stanpipe (a.k.a Robert Chin) is an artiste of profound determination and enthusiasm. He hails from Jamaica, growing up amongst his Grandmother in a placed called “Stanpipe” in the Liguanea area of Kingston.

He was also part of an extended musical family which included reggae icon Bob Marley, Freddie McGregor and Judy Mowatt and he was very much influenced by their music. His mother, Queen Minnie, owned and operated the famous Minnie's Vegetarian Restaurant and she also toured with Bob Marley & the Wailers as well as the I-Threes -- thereby his exposure to music at an early age. However, it was dancehall music that resonated most with him and he slowly crafted out
his style which enabled him to embark on his own musical sojourn.
